Fire Station Tours
Information
The Perry Joint Fire District has two fire stations strategically located in the Perry Community. The department provides fire station tours to groups such as students, Cub Scouts, Brownies, and other such organizations. Tours are available upon request and last between 20-30 minutes. During the tour, visitors will learn about the history of the Fire Department, meet and visit with the firefighters who protect and serve the community, and tour the living and working quarters. The tour will end with a walk through of the apparatus floor with explanations about each fire truck and the function they serve in the operations of the fire department.
Station tours should be scheduled at least one week in advance
Tours can be scheduled –Monday through Sunday between the hours of 9:00 am to 11:30 am, and 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm. Evening tours are scheduled on an individual basis.
To schedule a tour, please call 1-440-259-2880.
Group sizes of 25 or fewer work best. All ages of children are welcome, but we recommend 1 adult chaperone for every 5 children.
Fire stations remain in a constant state of readiness and may need to respond to an alarm at any time. If this happens, your group will have to leave the station, and the tour can be rescheduled.
On-site transportation needs to be available in case call volume interrupts the tour.
Please inform the fire department if any visitors will require special accommodations.
Fire stations are busy places. Groups are always welcome to tour the station, but we are unable to host any party festivities.

INDIVIDUALS ARE ENCOURAGED AND ALWAYS WELCOMED TO STOP BY THE FIRE STATION WITH QUESTIONS.
